Who We Are
STAL-REM is a dedicated team of specialists offering:
- Manufacturing and installation of steel and aluminum structures,
- Construction and delivery of ship blocks and complete hulls,
- Production and installation of marine systems,
- Hull repairs for ships and floating structures,
- Construction and delivery of fully equipped small vessels.
We operate as a partner providing comprehensive project execution, including material procurement, utilizing both our own resources and the services of verified, qualified suppliers. Our scope includes working documentation preparation, initial material processing, insulation installation, painting and galvanizing, supply and installation of furniture, installation and commissioning of marine machinery and equipment, machining, as well as the installation of electrical systems and devices.
Why Us?
Our History
STAL-REM was founded in 1993 by a group of shipbuilders in response to the rapidly growing market demand in this part of Europe. Initially, our focus was on ship repairs, which were extensively carried out in Polish shipyards at the time.
At the end of the 20th century, during a period of economic transformation, large Polish shipyards struggled to adapt to changes and began to decline. In response, our company shifted its focus to building small ship hulls for international clients. Successfully completed projects and high customer satisfaction contributed to our specialization in constructing small and medium-sized hulls for major partners from the Netherlands, Denmark, and Norway.
From the very beginning, STAL-REM collaborated with Gdańsk shipyards, manufacturing hull sections and blocks, as well as carrying out ship conversions. Over the years, we have established ourselves as a strategic contractor within the REMONTOWA HOLDING group.
Recognizing the need for continuous development, we undertook the construction and delivery of fully equipped small vessels, successfully confirmed through positive sea trials and client acceptance.
Our experience, highly skilled workforce, dedication of our specialists, and a reliable supply chain have enabled us to take on increasingly complex projects. As a member of REMONTOWA HOLDING, we benefit from top-tier technical support and access to the resources and equipment of Poland’s largest shipbuilding group. This allows us to execute a wide range of projects—from prefabrication and assembly of structures for converted vessels, to ship repairs, and the delivery of fully completed small and medium-sized floating units.
